Badusha is a famous sweet in India. It is made mostly during Diwali time. It has layered texture and is coated with sugar syrup. Let us try this sweet at home and enjoy the excellent taste of it.

Maida   –  ¾ cup
Baking powder   – ½ Tea Spoon  
Ghee    – 2 Tea Spoon
Curd    – 3 cups
Salt    – very little
Elachi powder  – 1 Tea Spoon
Oil    – ¼ kg
Sugar    – ¼ cup

1. Take a bowl and add Maida, salt, ghee and baking powder with curd like a dough. (Don’t use water)
2. Keep the dough in refrigerator for 2 hours
3. Take a deep bottomed vessel and prepare sugar syrup to string consistency
4. Add Elachi powder to it and keep aside.
5. Make lemon sized round balls and press with your thumb  on the ball
6. Heat oil in the Kadai and fry these pressed balls on low heat until they turn golden brown
7. Remove from the oil and drain them and add to sugar syrup
