Moong dalᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠᅡᄑ cup
Green chillis ᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠ5 (slit length-wise)
Turmeric ᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠa pinch
Salt ᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠto taste

Mustard seedsᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠᅡᄑ Tea Spoon
Cumin seeds ᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠ1 Tea Spoon
Garlic podsᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠ6
Dry red chillis ᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠ2
Curry leaves ᅡᅠᅡᅠ-ᅡᅠfew

1.ᅡᅠRemove the tender tamarind leaves from the stalk
2.ᅡᅠWash and soak the Moong dal, add turmeric and green chillis to it and took till half cooked.
3.ᅡᅠAdd the tender tamarind leaves to the cooked dal, cover and cook on low heat till the dal is fully cooked
4.ᅡᅠHeat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillis, garlic pods and curry leaves to it. Fry till they splutter
5.ᅡᅠAdd this tampering to the cooked dal
6.ᅡᅠMix and cook for few more minutes by adding salt
