Cucumber raita


2 cucumbers (kheera)

½ tsp. red chilli powder

1 tsp. salt

2. green chillies chopped

3 cups curd

1 tsp.cumin seeds powder

½ tsp. mustard powder

1 onion chopped


  1. Whisk curd well and pour in a big bowl.
  2. Cut cucumbers from the top and rub the cut off end with salt in order to remove its bitterness.
  3. Wash clean and chop it into pieces. Dip these pieces in curd.
  4. Add onion, red chilli powder, salt, mustard powder, green chill and jeera. Mix well together.
  5. Cool in refrigerator and serve cold.
