Tomato Pickle


Pickle! we always think it is very hard and takes long time and also need sunlight. So today we are going to prepare tomato pickle without all that hassle and taste exactly like mom made pickle.


Tomato’s – 2 Kg
Tamarind – 100gm
sesame oil – 1/2 ltr
Red chili powder – 1 cup
Salt – 1 cup
Menthulu/Fenugreek Powder – 1 tps (dry roast and make powder)
Finally chopped garlic – 1/2 cup

1) Wash and clean the tomato (make sure it should completely dry) cut them into 4 pieces. Now put them in a container with 3tbs of oil and let it cook till water got evaporated in a low heat. And also add tamarind once tomatoes are 50% cook.

2) Once it is done let it cook and add garlic, salt, red chili powder and Tadka.

This can be preserved for up to 1 year.
